How to Play Remember Bee
This game is based upon the n-back task.
You are a buzzing bee who is flying through a garden pollinating flowers. You must land on flowers to drink the nectar and collect pollen to take to another flower to fertilize it; however, watch out for mushrooms! They will harm you and slow you down. Each garden will have a different pattern based on color, shape, or sound. You need to collect pollen and deliver it to the correct flowers and pollinate the entire garden. The more correct flowers you get, the faster you will go through the garden. If you collect the wrong flowers, you will go slower.
Don’t fret if you don’t get it at first, this is brain training and it is meant to be challenging. After a few days, you’ll be proud of your progress.
Let’s start by getting familiar with the screen elements. The game provides information about your task and progress.
Targets are flowers that have a color, shape, and/or sound that match the features of a flower that is n-items back in the sequence. At the beginning of each level, the intro screen states what features are task relevant (color/sound, shape/sound, sound only, or color/shape/sound). These are the features that you need to remember as you go through each garden to reach the end. Some examples are as follows:
Match by COLOR
- To collect a flower — swipe your finger across the screen towards the flower
- Collect the good flowers and avoid the wrong ones and the mushrooms
- You will know a flower is good if its color matches the flower the correct number back for that garden
- For example, for the 2-back garden you will select a flower only if it is the same color as the on two flowers back, on a 3-back garden you will select the flower only if it is the same color as the one three flowers back — AVOID all other flowers.
Match by SHAPE
- To collect a flower — swipe your finger across the screen towards the flower
- Collect the good flowers and avoid the wrong ones and the mushrooms
- You will know a flower is good if its shape matches the flower the correct number back for that garden
- For example, for the 2-back garden you will select a flower only if it is the same shape as the on two flowers back, on a 3-back garden you will select the flower only if it is the same shape as the one three flowers back — AVOID all other flowers.
Match by SOUND
- Sometimes you will collect a flower based only on the sound it makes. So, listen very carefully!
- You will know a flower is good if its sound matches the sound the correct number back for that garden
- For example, for the 2-back garden you will select a flower only if it is the same sound as the on two flowers back, on a 3-back garden you will select the flower only if it is the same sound as the one three flowers back — AVOID all other flowers.
